LONDON, May 13 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.59 percent, or 41.30 points, to close at 6,963.33 points.
M&G, an international investment manager, soared 4.18 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. SSE and Pershing Square Holdings increased by 2.52 percent and 2.39 percent, respectively.
BT Group, a British multinational telecommunications holding company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.92 percent.
