BERLIN, May 26 (Xinhua) -- German stocks recorded small gains at the start of trading on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index rising 55.35 points, or 0.36 percent, opening at 15,520.44 points.
The biggest winner among Germany's 30 largest listed companies at the start of trading was carmaker Volkswagen, increasing by 1.46 percent, followed by dialysis specialist Fresenius Medical Care with 1.03 percent and chipmaker Infineon with 1.02 percent.
Shares of E.ON fell by 0.24 percent. The German utility was the biggest loser at the start of trading on Wednesday.
The yield on German 10-year bonds declined 0.0290 percentage points to minus 0.1920 percent, and the euro was trading almost unchanged at 1.2250 U.S. dollars, decreasing by 0.01 percent on Wednesday morning. Enditem
