2 injured as trainer aircraft crashes in Indonesia

JAKARTA, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Two pilots were injured after a trainer aircraft they were aboard crashed in the satellite city of Depok in Indonesian capital Jakarta on Friday morning, local authorities said.

"Two people are in a safe condition and have been rushed to a hospital. We are still investigating the case at the location," local media quoted the Depok Police's spokesman Supriyadi as saying in a statement.

According to him, the two victims were a student pilot and an instructor pilot.

The plane, he added, was shaking before it crashed into the waters.

Authorities are currently evacuating the trainer aircraft. Enditem
