Tunisia reports 1,314 new COVID-19 cases, 344,688 in total

TUNIS, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Health Ministry on Sunday reported 1,314 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections in the country to 344,688.

The death toll from the virus rose by 49 to 12,623 in Tunisia, the ministry said in a statement.

The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the North African country reached 2,005, including 404 in intensive care units, while the total number of recoveries reached 301,869.

A total of 1,471,758 lab tests have been carried out in Tunisia so far, according to the ministry.

So far, 922,838 people have been vaccinated, among them 633,524 with their first dose and 289,314 with the second. Enditem
