BERLIN, June 4 (Xinhua) -- German stocks were almost unchanged at the start of trading on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index growing by 19.03 points, or 0.12 percent, opening at 15,651.7 points.
The biggest winner among Germany's 30 largest listed companies at the start of trading was plastic specialist Covestro, increasing by 1.00 percent, followed by pharmaceutical company Merck with 0.91 percent and dialysis specialist Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) with 0.72 percent.
Shares of Deutsche Bank fell by 0.64 percent. The German financial institute was the biggest loser at the start of trading on Friday.
The yield on German ten-year bonds declined 0.0035 percentage points to minus 0.1885 percent and the euro was trading almost unchanged at 1.2128 U.S. dollars, increasing by 0.02 percent on Friday morning. Enditem
