LONDON -- The Group of Seven (G7) finance ministers have reached "a historic agreement" to reform the global tax system to make it fit for the global digital age, British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak said on Saturday.

OUAGADOUGOU -- About 100 civilians were killed on the night of Friday to Saturday by suspected terrorists in a village in northern Burkina Faso, said the official news agency AIB on Saturday.

BAGHDAD -- Five members of a Kurdish security force known as Peshmerga were killed Saturday in an ambush by militants of the Turkish outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region.

"A Peshmerga force was ambushed in the morning by PKK militants in Matin Mountain in Duhok province in northern Iraq, leaving five Peshmerga members killed and four others wounded," local authorities said in a statement. (Iraq-Militant-Attack)

MANILA -- Tropical storm Choi-wan blew away from the Philippines on Saturday after leaving at least nine dead and one missing.
