SEOUL -- South Korea's initial jobless claims fell last month, reflecting the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic shock, a government report showed Monday.

The number of those who newly applied for job-seeking benefits was 86,000 in May, down from 111,000 tallied in the same month of last year, according to the Ministry of Employment and Labor. (S. Korea-jobless)

HANOI -- Vietnam imported over 3.1 million tons of plastic worth nearly 5 billion U.S. dollars in the first five months of this year, posting a year-on-year rise of 19.9 percent in volume and 50.6 percent in value, according to the country's General Statistics Office on Monday.

SARAJEVO -- Bosnia and Herzegovina is looking forward to exporting its dairy products to China, the country's Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Stasa Kosarac has said.
