FRANKFURT, June 15 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 55.88 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 15,729.52 points.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.11 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group rose by 1.78 percent and 1.35 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen lost the most among the blue chips, falling 2.15 percent. European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies went down by 1.48 percent and 0.64 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 220.83 million euros (267.38 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, closed flat at 1.757 euros per share on Tuesday. Enditem
