WASHINGTON -- The U.S. military conducted airstrikes against facilities used by Iran-backed militia groups in the Iraq-Syria border region, the Pentagon said on Sunday.

"The U.S. strikes targeted operational and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Syria and one location in Iraq, both of which lie close to the border between those countries," the Pentagon said in a statement. (US airstrikes)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi militia said on Sunday it launched "five ballistic missiles" and "five bomb-laden drones" at two airports and a military site in Saudi Arabia.

"The multiple attacks targeted the Abha airport, the king Khalid Air Base and the National Guards Camp," Houthi military spokesman Yehya Sarea said in a statement aired by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV. (Yemen-Saudi-Attacks)

DHAKA -- At least seven people were killed and dozens of others injured in the collapse of a commercial building after a massive explosion in Bangladesh's capital city of Dhaka on Sunday.

BRUSSELS -- Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel has since Sunday morning been in self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, according to the government.
