FRANKFURT, June 30 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 159.55 points, or 1.02 percent, to close at 15,531.04 points.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.20 percent, followed by automotive supplier Continental and European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero, which lost 2.87 percent and 2.49 percent respectively.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical, pharmaceutical company Merck and aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero were the only three winners, rising 0.63 percent, 0.62 percent and 0.14 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 342.23 million euros (406.71 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 0.25 percent to close at 1.601 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
