OUAGADOUGOU, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed as gunmen stormed the Noogo village on Wednesday in northern Burkina Faso, the national news agency AIB reported.

Unidentified gunmen assaulted the village in the Loroum province around 5 p.m. local time, AIB reported.

The attackers took away two motorbikes and medical products of the local health center as well as some cattle, setting fire to granaries, according to the report.

Since 2015, Burkina Faso has been facing a worsening security situation with terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of over 1,000 people and displaced over 1 million others. Enditem
