LONDON, July 8 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.68 percent, or 120.36 points, to close at 7,030.66 points.
BAE Systems, a British multinational defence, security, and aerospace company, soared 0.76 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Entain and Croda International increased by 0.72 percent and 0.66 percent, respectively.
Intermediate Capital Group, a British-based global alternative asset management company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.05 percent.
