ANKARA, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Turkish security forces detained seven suspects affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) group in the capital Ankara, semi-official Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.

The chief prosecutor of Ankara had issued arrest warrants as part of an investigation into 10 Iraqi and Syrian nationals who are suspected of being IS group members, and the security forces continue operations to arrest the remaining suspects, the agency reported.

Turkey has been subject to the attacks of the IS, with 315 killed and hundreds more injured in at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks, and four armed assaults.

Turkey's anti-terror teams have lately intensified their raids against the group members as part of their efforts to expose the activities of the IS in the country. Enditem
