LONDON, July 13 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.01 percent, or 0.70 points, to close at 7,124.72 points.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, soared 3.11 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Ashtead Group and Rentokil Initial increased by 1.93 percent and 1.76 percent, respectively.
Natwest Group, a British banking and financial services company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.61 percent.
