LONDON, July 16 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.06 percent, or 3.93 points, to close at 7,008.09 points.
DCC, an international sales, marketing and support services group, soared 2.38 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Avast and Rentokil Initial increased by 2.32 percent and 2.29 percent, respectively.
Burberry Group, a British luxury fashion company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.02 percent. Glencore, an Anglo-Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company, dropped 3.45 percent. Rio Tinto, a mining and metals company, fell 3.44 percent. Enditem
