NEW DELHI -- At least seven people were killed and two others injured in a wall collapse incident in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh, a local official confirmed on Wednesday.

The collapse occurred late Tuesday evening in the state's Sitapur district.

WELLINGTON -- The New Zealand government activated the Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) on Wednesday, allowing residents on the West Coast of the South Island and in the Marlborough region hit by flooding over the weekend to access help finding accommodation.

The service has been activated by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to help people whose homes were damaged by the severe weather and flooding across the West Coast of the South Island, Associate Minister of Housing (Public Housing) Poto Williams said in a statement.

LOS ANGELES -- The world's leading streaming entertainment service Netflix announced Tuesday that it added 1.5 million paid memberships worldwide in the second quarter of 2021.

In its second-quarter letter to shareholders, Netflix said it finished the quarter with over 209 million paid memberships, slightly ahead of its own forecast. The Asia-Pacific region represented about two-thirds of the company's global paid net adds in the quarter. Enditem
