JERUSALEM -- Israel has announced that it will move to a low-carbon economy by 2050, the state's Ministry of Environmental Protection said in a statement on Friday.

The decision, which aims to move to a clean, efficient and competitive economy, was formulated by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett along with seven relevant ministers. (Israel-Emission)

BERLIN -- Germany exported goods worth 53.5 billion euros (around 63.0 billion U.S. dollars) to countries outside the European Union (EU) in June, up 23.7 percent year-on-year, according to preliminary figures published by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Friday.

The strong increase was "due to the very low level of foreign trade in June 2020," Destatis noted. (Germany-Exports)

ANKARA -- A migrant boat carrying 45 people has sunk in south of Turkey, the country's Defense Ministry said on Friday, noting that two Turkish naval ships and an aircraft have launched search and rescue operations.

The ministry said that it had received a tip-off on Thursday evening that a boat was "about to sink" 161 miles southwest of Kas town in southern Antalya province. (Turkey-Boat-Sink)

MUMBAI -- At least 36 people were killed and around 30 more feared trapped in a landslide following incessant rains in India's western state of Maharashtra on Friday.
