LONDON, July 23 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.85 percent, or 59.28 points, to close at 7,027.58 points.
Intermediate Capital Group, a British-based global alternative asset management company, soared 2.66 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Just Eat Takeaway and 3i Group increased by 2.59 percent and 2.57 percent, respectively.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 1.69 percent.
