German shares edge down 0.32 pct

FRANKFURT, July 26 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 50.31 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 15,618.98 points.

Housing association Vonovia lost 2.46 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by Deutsche Boerse Group -- marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities -- and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas, which lost 1.90 percent and 1.83 percent, respectively.

Housing association Deutsche Wohnen gained 1.17 percent, becoming the top gainer. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and Deutsche Bank advanced by 0.92 percent and 0.89 percent, respectively.

Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most traded share with a turnover of 175.75 million euros (207.16 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 1.89 percent to close at 1.712 euros per share on Monday. Enditem
