RIO DE JANEIRO, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The final of this year's Copa Libertadores has been pushed back by a week to November 27, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) said on Tuesday.

The match will take place at Centenario stadium in Uruguayan capital Montevideo, as previously announced, CONMEBOL said in a statement, without providing reasons for the change of date.

South America's top club competition is currently on the verge of the quarterfinal phase, with four Brazilian sides having already qualified for the last eight: Sao Paulo, Flamengo, Atletico Mineiro and defending champions Palmeiras.

The winner of the Copa Libertadores will earn a place at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan in December.

CONMEBOL said that the final of the second-tier Copa Sudamericana would be staged on November 20, also at Centenario stadium. Enditem
