TOKYO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Japanese gymnast Hashimoto Daiki snatched gold in men's horizontal bar final at Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday.

He topped the competition in 15.066 points, followed by Croatia's Tin Srbic in 14.900 points. Russian Olympic Committee's Nikita Nagornyy took bronze in 14.533 points.

19-year-old Hashimoto, the gold medalist in individual all-around, topped the high bar qualification in 15.033 points.

In the final of his strongest apparatus, Hashimoto executed a 6.500-difficulty routine, the same-level difficulty with Srbic, but was able to take the gold with a higher execution score.

Kazakhstan's Milad Karimi placed second in the qualification but fell off the apparatus twice and finished eighth in the final. Enditem
