NAIROBI, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Kenya is planning to attract Estonian investors to enter into the country's education and Information Communication Technology (ICT) sectors, a senior government official said on Friday.
Betty Maina, cabinet secretary, Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development said that bilateral trade and economic ties remain below their potential despite a strong cordial relationship.
"Our country is ready to take advantage of Estonia's Africa strategy, which focuses on education, ICT, environment, energy and e-governance to enhance economic opportunities for our citizens, particularly the young people who are really tech savvy," Maina said during the Kenya-Estonia Business forum.
Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia, is currently on a state visit to Kenya and is accompanied by a delegation of the Estonian business community that is seeking investment opportunities in the East African nation. Enditem
