ADEN, Yemen -- Large protests hit Yemen's southeastern province of Hadramout on Tuesday, sparking clashes in the country's oil-rich province, a military official told Xinhua.

"Hundreds of angry residents went out to the streets in the coastal city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout province, to protest against the deterioration of public services," the local military source said on condition of anonymity. (Yemen-Protests)

JERUSALEM -- Bahrain's first ambassador to Israel, Khaled Yusuf Al Jalahma, presented his credentials to Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Tuesday, a year after the two countries signed a normalization deal.

The Israeli president received the credentials from the Bahraini ambassador at the president's residence in Jerusalem, Israeli president's office said in a statement. (Israel-Bahrain-Ambassador)

RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia signed on Tuesday agreements with top pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including AstraZeneca and Pfizer, to promote investment in its health sector.

The agreements were reached on the sidelines of the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2021, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday, the Saudi Ministry of Investment said in a statement. (Saudi Arabia-AstraZeneca-Pfizer)

JERUSALEM -- The balance of assets held abroad by Israeli residents reached a record high of about 666 billion U.S. dollars at the end of the second quarter in 2021, the Bank of Israel said in a report on Tuesday.
