LONDON, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The weekend round of Premier League games kicks off with a crunch match at St. James Park on Friday night when Newcastle United entertain Leeds United.

Newcastle are currently second from bottom with just one point from their first four games of the season and the calls for coach Steve Bruce to be sacked are getting ever louder from the home fans, while Leeds are also looking for their first win after just two draws from their opening four matches.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are all in action on Saturday with Manchester City at home to Southampton. Pep Guardiola should have Kevin de Bruyne, John Stones and Phil Foden all available, but he will also want an improved defensive display after his side shipped three goals in their 6-3 win over RB Leipzig in midweek.

Liverpool beat AC Milan 3-2 in their Champions League game and entertain an improving Crystal Palace side.

Odsonne Edouard will lead a varied Palace attack which will also contain Wilfred Zaha and Jordan Ayew and Liverpool could face a more complicated afternoon than some expect.

Although Arsenal claimed their first win of the season a week ago with a 1-0 triumph over bottom of the table Norwich, the pressure is still on Mikel Arteta, who is without Granit Xhaka (suspension) and Mohamed Elneny (hamstring injury) for the visit to Burnley.

Burnley coach Sean Dyche has just signed a new contract with the club and although he was frustrated to see his team concede three goals in six minutes against Everton on Monday, Burnley's direct and physical play will be a test for a rival that has question marks over their ability to dig deep and grind out results.

Elsewhere on Saturday, bottom-of-the table Norwich have a must-win game at home to Watford, who beat them twice last season in the Championship.

Brentford against the Wolves promises to be entertaining, with the visitors playing some attractive football that hasn't always got its reward in the opening weeks, while Brentford have so far not looked out of their depth and only conceded twice.

Everton are without England striker Dominic Calvert Lewin as Rafa Bentiez's men look to continue their positive start to the season away to Aston Villa and Benitez will probably return to a flat back four after accommodating an extra central defender for Monday's win over Burnley.

Sunday's big game is a London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea, although the home side could be hampered by the likely absence of Hueng Min Son, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura against their unbeaten rivals.

Manchester United need to bounce back from their Champions League defeat to Young Boys, but have a difficult visit to face unbeaten West Ham United at the London Stadium.

West Ham impressed against Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday and coach David Moyes will hope the traveling has not taken too much out of his players after fielding a strong side in Europe.

Finally, Leicester City's visit to play Brighton will give the home side, who has three wins from four games, the chance to see just how good they are after a positive start to the campaign. Enditem
