LONDON, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.86 percent, or 59.73 points, to close at 6,903.91 points.
International Consolidated Airlines Group, an Anglo-Spanish multinational airline holding company, soared 11.16 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. AstraZeneca and Rolls-Royce Holdings increased by 6.15 percent and 4.23 percent, respectively.
Prudential, a British multinational life insurance and financial services company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 8.37 percent.
