KHARTOUM -- Sudan's Security and Defense Council on Tuesday announced the arrest of Major General Abdul-Baqi Hassan Osman, the leader of the foiled coup attempt.

UNITED NATIONS -- U.S. President Joe Biden said in a speech at the United Nations on Tuesday that the United States is opening a new chapter of diplomacy after ending the two-decade Afghan war.

UNITED NATIONS -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Tuesday that his country does not trust the promises made by the U.S. government, while noting that he seeks effective interaction with all the countries of the world.

MOSCOW -- Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said that U.S. biolabs around the world pose a threat to the health of tens of millions of people, according to an article published Tuesday in the Russian newspaper Argumenty I Fakty.
