FRANKFURT, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 104.58 points, or 0.68 percent, to close at 15,260.69 points.
Energy group RWE lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.77 percent, followed by housing association Vonovia and European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero, which lost 2.22 percent and 2.04 percent respectively.
International pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment supplier Sartorius, pharmaceutical company Merck and producer of flavors and fragrances Symrise were the top three winners, up 1.81 percent, 1.30 percent and 1.07 percent respectively.
Deutsche Post was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 298.75 million euros (345.92 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 2.81 percent to close at 1.491 euros per share. Enditem
