BRATISLAVA, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The sixth round of the Slovak ice hockey premiership Tipos Extraliga witnessed last-ranked HK Dukla Trencin stunning leader HK Poprad 3-2 at home on Friday.

While Trencin snapped its three-game losing streak, Poprad slipped down from the top.

The third period was key this time. Trencin scored twice only 16 seconds apart to take a 3-1 lead. Poprad cut the deficit in the final minute but failed to push the game into overtime.

The 16-year-old forward Samuel Honzek scored the third and the deciding goal for Trencin.

MHK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas turned out to be a tough nut to crack for HK Nitra but the home team eventually triumphed in overtime and moved up to the top of the standings. Enditem
