RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Brazil under-23 forward Yuri Alberto scored a first-half hat-trick as Internacional rose to seventh in the Brazilian Serie A standings on Sunday with a 5-2 home win over Chapecoense.
Yuri struck in the second, 36th and 40th minutes while former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Taison was also on target as Internacional led 4-0 at halftime.
Teenage striker Matheus Cadorini netted his team's fifth goal just before the hour mark before a brace inside 21 minutes from Chapecoense's Mike Nenatarvicius added respectability to the scoreline.
Internacional are now seventh in the 20-team standings with 36 points from 24 matches, 17 points behind leaders Atletico Mineiro. Chapecoense are last with 12 points.
In the only other Brazilian Serie A fixture on Sunday, Santos won 1-0 at home to Gremio. Enditem
