Fiji's meteorological office predicts 3 cyclones

SUVA, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Fiji predicted three cyclones with the first one being expected to come by late December, Director of Fiji Meteorological Office Terry Atalifo said on Wednesday.

Most of the cyclones are expected to approach from the Northwest quadrant, the Mamanuca and Yasawa Group of islands area, according to Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.

Atalifo said among the three cyclones, at least one to two are predicted to be severe.

Atalifo urged all Fijians to prepare, adding that the intensity of storms can not be underestimated.

The tropical cyclone season in the South Pacific region runs annually between November and April next year. Enditem
