German shares gain 0.68 pct Wednesday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 102.51 points, or 0.68 percent, to close at 15,249.38 points.

International pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment supplier Sartorius won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.19 percent. Multinational software corporation SAP and multinational E-commerce company Zalando gained by 3.90 percent and 3.49 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank, insurance and financial services company Allianz and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 4.27 percent, 1.38 percent and 1.32 percent respectively.

SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 341.34 million euros (394.66 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 0.95 percent to close at 1.520 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
