COPENHAGEN -- At least five people were killed and two others injured in a series of attacks by a man carrying a weapon for shooting arrows in the provincial town center of Kongsberg, some 82 km southwest of the Norwegian capital city of Oslo early Wednesday evening, police said.

Among the two injured was a police officer in civilian clothes. Both the injured were in hospital, confirmed Oyvind Aas, Police Chief in the South-East police district, to the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) late Wednesday night. (Norway-Attack)

JERUSALEM -- Israel's trade deficit in the third quarter of 2021 rose by about 63 percent year-on-year, the state's Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday warned that the United States would turn to "other options" if diplomacy fails to curb Iran's nuclear program, saying "time is running short."

ANKARA -- The Turkish foreign minister on Wednesday accused Russia and the United States of failing to keep their promises to hold the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) away from its border in northern Syria.

"Russia and the United States also bear the responsibility for the recent attacks because they didn't keep their word.
