LONDON, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.42 percent, or 30.20 points, to close at 7,203.83 points.

Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, soared 2.55 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and EVRAZ increased by 2.06 percent and 1.98 percent, respectively.

International Consolidated Airlines Group, an Anglo-Spanish multinational airline holding company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.94 percent.
