TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said Monday that Iran and the European Union will discuss nuclear topics in Brussels, capital of Belgium, in coming days.

Making the remarks during his weekly press conference, Khatibzadeh said recent talks between Ali Bagheri, Iranian deputy foreign minister, and Enrique Mora, deputy secretary-general of the European External Action Service, in Iran's capital Tehran were "good and constructive." (Iran-Vienna Talks)

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi on Monday announced the arrest of an Islamic State (IS) terrorist allegedly responsible for a Baghdad bombing five years ago that killed hundreds of people.

Al-Kadhimi said on Twitter that the Iraqi Intelligence Service carried out a complex operation outside the country to arrest Ghazwan al-Zawbai, nicknamed Abu Ubaidah Baghdad. (Iraq-IS-Arrest)

ALGIERS -- The Algerian government announced Monday the full lift of nationwide lockdown as the COVID-19 infections dropped remarkably.

The health authorities on Monday reported 78 new infections over the past 24 hours compared to 87 cases a day before. (Algeria-COVID19)

TEHRAN -- Iran will host a ministerial meeting on Oct. 27 about Afghanistan's political situation, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced on Monday.
