JAKARTA, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian central bank Tuesday held the key interest rate at 3.5 percent to maintain the rate of Indonesian currency rupiah and support the recovery of the pandemic-hit economy.
The rates of deposit facility and the lending facility were also kept at 2.75 percent and 4.25 percent respectively, according to the central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI).
The decision was made after a two-day policy meeting of the bank's board of governors starting on Monday.
BI's Governor Perry Warjiyo said that the central bank continues to optimize the entire policy mix to maintain macroeconomic and financial system stability. Enditem
