CAIRO -- At least 17 people were killed as a truck collided with a passenger microbus near the Egyptian capital Cairo, Egypt's state-run Al-Ahram news website reported on Wednesday.

The accident took place on a ring road on the outskirts of Cairo towards 6th of October city, where security and traffic officers immediately hurried to the scene, according to the report. (Egypt-Traffic-Accident-Crash)

KUWAIT CITY -- Kuwait's government announced on Wednesday the entry to the last phase of the five-phase plan for a gradual return to normal life, easing health restrictions in the country.

Kuwait's government decided to allow people to do outdoor activities without wearing masks from Oct. 24, the government spokesman Tareq Al-Mezrem said at a press conference. (Kuwait-COVID19)

TEHRAN -- Iran's health ministry on Wednesday reported 11,770 new COVID-19 cases, raising the country's total infections to 5,821,737.

TUNIS -- Tunisian President Kais Saied on Wednesday met visiting Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit over political issues in the North African country, according to a statement released by the presidency.
