ISLAMABAD -- Fifteen people were killed and 10 others seriously injured when a passenger van fell into a ravine in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.

The van carrying 25 people fell into a deep ravine when the driver tried to negotiate a sharp turn in the mountainous terrain of Kotli district in the region, Rizwan Younus, a policeman in the district who was dispatched to the accident site, told Xinhua. (Pakistan-Road Accident)

TOKYO -- The number of young people diagnosed with the eating disorder anorexia in Japan newly increased around 60 percent in fiscal 2020 compared with a year earlier, likely due to growing anxiety and pressure amid the COVID-19 pandemic, local media reported Wednesday.

A survey released last month by the National Center for Child Health and Development found that 28 boys and 230 girls under 20 years old were newly diagnosed with the eating disorder in fiscal 2020 through March this year, both up over 60 percent from the previous year.
