CANBERRA -- Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison has flagged travel bubble arrangements with Japan and South Korea as the country gradually reopens to the world.

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally rose to 34,401,670 on Thursday, as 13,091 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's latest data.

Another 340 deaths due to the pandemic were recorded since Wednesday morning, taking the total death toll to 462,189. (India-COVID-19)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia reported another 6,243 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Wednesday, bringing the national total to 2,522,498, according to the health ministry.

Some 24 of the new cases are imported, while 6,219 are local transmissions, data released on the ministry's website showed.
