BEIRUT, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday expressed deep concerns about the multiple crises in Lebanon, a statement by Lebanon's Presidency reported.

"I understand the extent of the difficulties the Lebanese have been facing in their daily lives over the past few months," Macron said in a letter sent to Lebanese President Michel Aoun on the 78th anniversary of Lebanon's independence.

Macron said that France attaches the utmost importance to Lebanon's stability, independence, security and sovereignty.

The French president emphasized the importance of implementing structural reforms to attract support from the international community.

"The international community is willing to help Lebanon, but Lebanese authorities must restore confidence in their country," he added.

Lebanon has been going through its worst financial crisis but the government has been incapable of taking practical measures to solve the crisis due to differences among political parties about the investigation into the Beirut port blasts and the diplomatic crisis with Gulf countries. Enditem
