LONDON -- Two cases of the Omicron coronavirus variant have been detected in Britain, British Health Secretary Sajid Javid said Saturday.

MOSCOW -- Russia has no plans to invade Ukraine as Washington fabricated, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin said Saturday.

KIEV -- The Ukrainian forces have conducted staff exercise at the frontier with Belarus, as a part of the operation "Polissya" that is aimed at preventing a migrant crisis, the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine said on Saturday.

The exercise, which started on Nov. 23, was conducted by the SBGS together with the National Guard, the National Police, the Armed Forces and other law enforcement units of Ukraine. (Ukraine-Exercise)

ISLAMABAD -- Two soldiers were killed in a check post attack in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, an army statement said on Saturday.
