Pakistan confirms 377 new COVID-19 cases, 8 more deaths

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Wednesday confirmed 377 new COVID-19 cases and eight more deaths, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Thursday.

The NCOC, a department leading the country's campaign against the pandemic, said that the country has conducted 22,072,293 tests and confirmed overall 1,285,631 cases, including 1,242,718 recovered cases.

The country has 14,168 active cases, including 904 in critical condition.

The pandemic killed eight people on Wednesday, increasing the overall death toll to 28,745.

Pakistan's southern Sindh province is the most affected region of the country in terms of the number of cases with 476,017 infections, followed by the eastern Punjab province, which has reported 443,240 infections. Enditem
