Pakistan reports 391 new COVID-19 cases, 8 more deaths

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Thursday reported 391 new COVID-19 cases and eight more deaths, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Friday.

The NCOC, a department leading the country's campaign against the pandemic, said the country had confirmed overall 1,286,022 cases so far, adding that 2,437 patients recovered on Thursday, increasing the tally of recoveries to 1,245,155.

The country has 12,114 active cases, including 895 in critical condition.

The pandemic killed eight people on Thursday, increasing the overall death toll to 28,753.

Pakistan's southern Sindh province is the most affected region of the country in terms of the number of cases with 476,233 infections, followed by the eastern Punjab province, which has reported 443,310 infections. Enditem
