KABUL -- A bomb blast rocked Police District 4 of Kabul, capital of Afghansitan, on Saturday with no casualties confirmed, Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Sayed Khosti said.

The blast took place in Taimany locality of Police District 4 but caused no loss of life and property damage, the spokesman said. (Afghanistan-Blast-Casualties)

JAKARTA -- Semeru volcano in Indonesia's East Java province erupted on Saturday, injuring several villagers as a bridge and many houses were damaged during evacuation, officials said.

ADEN, Yemen -- A total of 16 people were killed as a result of an aerial bombardment against Houthi military vehicles in Yemen's southwestern province of Taiz, a military official told Xinhua on Saturday.

"An airstrike was launched late on Friday night and struck a convoy of the Houthi rebel militia in the countryside district of Maqbanah in Taiz, causing a huge explosion," the local military source said on condition of anonymity. (Yemen-Militants)
