DUBAI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sealed a contract with France to buy fighters and military helicopters, according to UAE's state news agency WAM.

The deal was inked Friday as French President Emmanuel Macron met with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Dubai. (UAE-France-Agreement)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi militia said they shot down a U.S.-made spy drone belonging to the Saudi-led coalition forces in the Yemeni central province of Marib on Saturday, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

The ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down by a "suitable weapon," the al-Masirah said, adding it was the seventh ScanEagle UAV to be shot down by the Houthis since the beginning of the year. (Yemen-Houthis-Spy Drone)

JERUSALEM -- An Israeli man was severely injured on Saturday in a stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem, according to a statement by the Israeli police.

The assailant was shot dead by Israeli border police before he even attempted to stab them, the police statement said, calling the incident a terrorist attack. (Jerusalem-Stabbing-Injury)

BAGHDAD-- Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi met with U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller on Saturday to discuss ending the role of the U.S.-led coalition forces in the country.
