Singapore reports 960 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 960 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total tally in the country to 289,085.

Of the new cases, 481 were local cases and 479 were imported cases, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

There were 549 new Omicron cases confirmed on Thursday, of which 366 were local and 183 were imported, the ministry said.

A total of 172 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 14 cases requiring oxygen supplementation and nine cases being in the intensive care unit (ICU). Enditem
