Greco-Roman era tomb discovered in southern Egypt

CAIRO, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- An Egyptian-Italian archaeological mission discovered a Greco-Roman tomb in Aswan province, Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said in a statement on Friday.
"The tomb is divided into two parts: one above the earth surface and the other craved in a stone hill," the statement said.
The first part is a rectangular-shaped building made of sandstone including the entrance of the tomb, while the second part leads to a rectangular yard consisting of four burial rooms.
The statement added that 20 mummies in good conditions were found in the tomb.
Initial investigations revealed that the tomb is a mass grave for several dynasties.
Meanwhile, stone pictures, copper-made necklace and several wood bird statues were found in the tomb, it added. Enditem
