RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Veteran Sao Paulo defender Rafinha has called for patience as the Brazilian giants seek to recover from a poor start to the season.
The 36-year-old said he is confident the Tricolor can register their first win of the 2022 campaign when they host Santo Andre in the Paulista championship on Wednesday.
"We've finished our pre-season and played three games without a victory, but the hard work is being done," said the Brazil international, who joined Sao Paulo from Gremio in December.
"In the last game [a 4-3 defeat to Bragantino] we had a good game and could have won it. We know the results will come and in this fourth match we will have an opportunity to do that."
Rafinha, whose career has included spells with Schalke, Genoa, Bayern Munich and Flamengo, is expected to return to Rogerio Ceni's starting lineup after being rested for the clash with Bragantino. Enditem
