KABUL, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- A total of 150 Afghans have been commissioned to the army in the eastern Paktia province after training, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported on Friday.
During the two-month military training, the cadets learned how to use a variety of light and necessary weapons, and how to behave with people during operations.
The newly-graduated security personnel was ready to serve in war-torn Afghanistan, said the report.
On Thursday, more than 200 cadets were commissioned to the police force in the western Herat province.
Afghanistan would have a 150,000-strong army in the future, said Defense Ministry Spokesman Enayatullah Khawarazmi. Enditem
