KABUL, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's police and security personnel arrested 2,180 criminal suspects in the Kabul province over the past six months, according to the Kabul police on Thursday.
The arrests were made across Kabul city's 22 police districts and a dozen suburban districts and the suspects were believed to be involved in murders, kidnappings, armed robberies, ethical corruption, the possession of illegal weapons, among other cases, the Kabul police department said in a statement.
According to the statement, 59 kg of narcotics and 60,000 Tablet-K, a drug with stimulant effects often sold in Afghanistan, were also seized during the cited period. The Kabul police also found and seized guns, landmines, one rocket-propelled grenade, a military uniform, and about 2,000 anti-bullet jackets. Enditem
