Pakistan adds 117 new COVID-19 cases

ISLAMABAD, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan added 117 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the country's ministry of health said on Wednesday.

The overall tally of the infected people climbed to 1,528,178 across the country, according to the data released by the ministry.

A total of 30,371 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, including two patients who lost their lives to the pandemic over the last 24 hours, according to the ministry's statistics.

During the last 24 hours, 19,090 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.61 percent.

There are 3,666 active cases in the country, including 145 patients who are in critical condition. Enditem
